STRATEGIC PLANNING, TEAM COHESION
John Elliott
From his upbringing on a family farm to his teaching days in inner city Atlanta to his leadership roles at the University of Illinois and Christ Community Church, John brings a unique collection of experiences to the table as the founder and president of Untapt Consulting. The common thread has been a passion for helping leaders he believes in maximize their full potential, and it is to this end that he leads Untapt. When he’s not leading Untapt, he can be found coaching his kids’ youth sports teams and reading books about history, leadership, and spiritual formation.
STRATEGIC PLANNING, TEAM COHESION, PERSONAL COACHING
Davis Hendrickson
Davis’ education in high-performing teams began at a young age, watching his father coach college football. He applied those lessons to his own athletic pursuits, earning a scholarship to play baseball at the University of Illinois and winning a Big Ten Championship. He spent the next decade sharpening his leadership gifts in athletic administration, serving at Illinois, Pittsburgh, and Georgia Southern. Every step of the way, he’s derived energy from helping teams leverage the power of teamwork to accomplish their goals—a passion that now drives his work with Untapt. In his free time, he enjoys spending time with his family, exercising, and deepening relationships with friends.
STRATEGIC PLANNING, TEAM COHESION
Trent Epley
Trent has an incredible knack for creating clear vision and ensuring all stakeholders are rowing in the same direction. He spent the past decade leveraging those gifts in the context of urban education, first as a teacher in Houston and later as a principal in Chicago. And while his passion for supporting educators remains strong, he’s eager to expand his influence beyond the world of education, helping organizational leaders of all types perform at their best. When he’s not working with leaders, he can be found serving at his church and collecting sports cards with his kids.
PERSONAL COACHING, TEAM COHESION
Marie Chandler
A trained clinical counselor, Marie possesses a keen awareness of human nature and a deep passion for helping leaders unlock their full potential. One of her "go-to" tools is the Enneagram Personality Profile, having seen its effectiveness at promoting self-awareness, personal development, and team cohesion. When she's not helping leaders move forward in their professional journeys, she can be found hanging out at her family-owned restaurant and coffee shop in Monticello, IL.
PERSONAL COACHING, STRATEGIC PLANNING
Kevin Elliott
Leveraging his training and experience as a clinical counselor, Kevin asks extremely thoughtful questions that unlock new levels of self-understanding and personal growth in his clients. This same gift for asking great questions allows him to effectively lead teams through strategic planning sessions that produce the clarity they crave. When he's not at work, Kevin can be found enjoying a good cup of coffee and attending Illini sporting events with his family.
STRATEGIC PLANNING, TEAM COHESION
Lee Hoffman
Speak to anyone who’s ever worked with Lee, and they will rave about his incredible gifts in leadership and creativity. These gifts have allowed him to succeed as a teacher in the classroom, a coach on the basketball court, a board member of local nonprofits, and a principal in multiple schools. And now, in his role at Untapt, he has the privilege of stewarding those gifts for the good of our clients. When he’s not helping leaders move forward, he can be found following Illini sports and spending quality time with his wife and five children in Morton, IL.
PERSONAL COACHING, TEAM COHESION
Lauren Sauder
Lauren is yet another Untapt team member who brings a rich set of life experiences to the table. She’s taught high school Spanish in Chicago, started several businesses with her husband in Thailand, and mobilized young people to serve in high-need areas across the globe. Along the way, she stumbled upon an incredibly useful tool called the "Enneagram," which she now regularly deploys for the good and growth of our clients. When she's not helping leaders understand themselves better, she can be found serving at her local church, traveling with her family, and searching for her next favorite restaurant.
OPERATIONS
Lindsey Clark
Lindsey joins the Untapt team as someone who loves to chase the details. She is always looking for objective and practical ways to move the team forward. She spent nearly 20 years serving in higher education and college enrollment. Her action-oriented nature helps people pursue their goals and passions. When she isn't helping others cross their finish line or meet their goals, she can be found near a basketball court supporting her husband and kids, cheering on the Fighting Illini, enjoying time outdoors, and exercising.
